This outstanding area is a children's paradise. Fabulous beaches,
some sandy and gently shelving offer safe swimming, others are surrounded by rocks to scramble over and little pools to explore at
low tide. Organised beach activities abound in the summer season.

Visitors wanting active holidays can sail, surf or swim; play boules, volley ball, tennis or golf; go sea diving, fishing, windsurfing, water skiing, canoeing, cycling, mountain-biking or horse riding.

There are lots of good walks locally and the well-marked French Grande Randonnée routes go through the area.

If you prefer to have a leisurely swim and relax on the beach there are eighteen within easy reach and many more further afield. Many interesting places can be easily reached by travelling along the main coastal road, and following the appropriate road signs.

The photographer or artist is never at a loss for subjects. The magnificent cliffs and beaches of the coast; the impressive prehistoric standing stones; inland pastoral scenes; marine and urban Breton life; chateaux and churches lend themselves to artistic representation.

Picturesque folk festivals, markets and exhibitions take place throughout the year. For those who enjoy good food there is a huge range of restaurants from crêperies and pizzerias through to a Michelin starred establishment within easy reach.

Look out for the many interesting houses, and the colourful flowers and shrubs
Remember to stop at the official viewing sites to see the panoramic views!
